Eastern Ways of
Tending to the Mother
UPDATE: Due to receiving many requests for scholarship, I have decided to change the payment to a sliding scale model to make it accessible to more people. The dates for the course have also been pushed back by one week to give people some time with the changes. Thank you!
An online workshop series on Asian folk postpartum care practices from the hearth & the land
In this series, we will touch on the topics of postpartum rituals, foods, body care & plants from a folk medicine approach. The knowledge shared here will be rooted in Japanese, Korean and TCM traditions, as well as some Thai.
This is open to anyone — not just birth workers! Tending to our wombs and mothers are essential life sustaining skills. I believe, this type of knowledge must be kept alive in the hands of the people and not left only to the professionals or lost to the past. My hope is to weave these tending ways back into our every day culture and how we show up for each other in community.
